"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." 

This Native American proverb echoes profoundly as we confront the existential challenge of climate change. 

Unfortunately, in today’s world, we are faced with a paradox:

  • The energy sector accounts for two-thirds of human-attributed greenhouse gas emissions and the associated climate impact

  • Energy consumption is fundamental to human prosperity

We aspire to live in a world free from this choice. A world where clean energy is available to all and at negligible cost - sparking a wave of innovation, ushering in a new economic development paradigm, and propelling social progress. The benefits of such a reality - for us, our children, and for all future people - are almost beyond comprehension. 

We believe this world is within reach.

Team

The founders of Sourcechange bring together a wealth of experience. 

Sam is an entrepreneur and investor in technology companies in the climate, finance, and talent arenas. Previously, he spent a decade building GQR from a startup into a global talent acquisition powerhouse, leading the firm into new markets, geographies, and service offerings and consistently ranking in the SIA’s top 20 fastest-growing companies in the United States. 

Fred has extensive search experience in the global energy markets. He’s developed a deep expertise and a proven track record in delivering high-end human capital solutions to the most pioneering and innovative institutions at the forefront of the energy transition.

Focus and Strategy

The talent challenges throughout the ecosystem and across geographies are clear - and we’re on a mission to provide a comprehensive offering as we scale our team. 

Our immediate focus is on the finance, development, and engineering verticals of clean energy storage and generation in the United States. After all, our commitment to specialization affords us access to the deep networks and expertise necessary to source the scarcest talent. We go beyond the normal pools to find and mobilize diverse individuals with unique skills who are often not actively looking for new opportunities.
